Coating and Sealants
Parking & Pedestrian Deck Restoration & Sealing

We choose deck restoration and sealing products formulated to provide optimum performance as a traffic-bearing membrane with low temperature crack bridging characteristics and that create a positive bond to eliminate lateral water migration which can lead to serious damage from freeze-thaw action and by carrying corrosive salts to the reinforcing steel.

Expansion Joint Installation/Repair

Whenever there is a joint between concrete slabs, there is the potential for water penetration, Dry Building Solutions offers expansion joint installation at the time the slab is laid, and repair or installation of expansion joints for existing slabs.

Adequately waterproofing expansion joints requires the use of materials specifically designed to do that job. One method we use is applying a self-adhesive HDPE waterproofing membrane over the joint using a specially formulated latex surface treatment which imparts an aggressive, high tack finish to the treated substrate. Alternately, we may use a filler, such as a hybrid urethane epoxy joint filler or a cellular fiber filler made of cellular fibers securely bonded together and uniformly saturated with asphalt for longevity.

Vapor Barrier Membranes

Vapor barrier membranes are installed to help reduce the penetration of moisture and water vapor through the slab into the structure, thereby helping to reduce fungus, mildew, and mold growth. The membrane also helps reduce radon gas from entering the structure.

Elastomeric & Acrylic Coatings

Elastomeric or acrylic wall coatings are an excellent option for masonry walls that have a tendency to crack and shift.

Elastomeric coatings move with the expansion and contraction cycles of a building and fill in the cracks and openings, ensuring a water-tight and attractive exterior surface. We use only elastomeric products that are recommended as a waterproof coating on properly prepared concrete, masonry, EIFS and stucco substrates. They can bridge hairline cracks and are mildew resistant, offering low temperature flexibility and maximum adhesion.

Acrylic coatings can be used to change the color of an existing EIFS finish or other exterior surfaces. They resist mold and mildew growth and are used to protect and decorate masonry, stucco, wood, primed metal and acrylic-based textured finishes such as EIFS finishes.

Penetrating Repellants

These repellants are sprayed or brushed on to brick or stucco walls. It is a clear repellant that soaks into the pores of the masonry to create a waterproof seal. This maintains the look of the original surface while resisting water intrusion, stain damage, freeze/thaw spalling, efflorescence and rust damage.

Urethane Caulking

Urethane caulking is our preferred material for sealing foundation cracks. It has excellent adhesion qualities and will actually protect your foundation from further cracking. Using an injection gun, we can be sure to penetrate deep into the crack for complete waterproofing.

Sheet Waterproofing and Gas Membrane Installation

In conditions where there is high water head or the potential for aliphatic gases, Dry Building Solutions can offer a sheet waterproofing and gas membrane coating for poured concrete or block masonry foundation walls, or for elevator pits.
